Intel has outed a new driver version for the Embedded Server RAID Technology 2 (ESRT2), namely the 15.01.2013.0115, that is compatible with both bit versions of all of Microsoft’s Windows OSes.

The package provides functionality for the Intel C600 chipset SATA/SAS and AHCI capable SATA controllers. In addition, the driver only supports some of Intel’s server boards and server systems, which you can check through the download page.

The new version has several resolved issues, such as a Patrol Read problem when global spares were present, and it adds workarounds for some large capacity drives issues.

You should also know that the ESRT2 does not support UEFI functionality, and the download record includes folders for each compatible Windows version.

Moreover, the C600 SATA/SAS capable controller doesn’t support ODD devices, and no optical drives should be connected to the controller. Though, the AHCI-capable controller has support for ODDs in all modes.

That being said, follow the link below to view the supported products, and to download the latest ESRT2 driver.
