After releasing new BIOS versions for its Z87 motherboard series, EVGA has just outed a new BIOS package targeted at its X79 Dark unit, namely version 2.10, which includes several fixes that should improve the board’s overall performance and stability.

Specifically speaking, the new release fixes the USB keyboard hang (in BIOS), the non XMP DIMM-related issues, the mouse performance level (in BIOS), and some USB devices bugs that caused a long beep.

In addition to that, the IOH PCI-E slot name is resolved, the GUI CPU frequency calculation method is adjusted, and the ESC key issue that made it unusable in boot menu is fixed.

Moreover, if this fresh update is applied, the no display bug caused by 2 connected graphics cards that are set to X16 is now history, the target memory calculation error when on specific settings is now removed, and the third memory timing input can now be set to zero.

As for applying this new version, the installation method is the same as for the latest EVGA Z87 BIOS versions, so make sure you follow it precisely.

That being said, all you need to do now is download EVGA X79 Dark BIOS 2.10, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, apply it, and update your BIOS to that latest version.
