The new updates add a BIOS POST Beep disable option and fix the system shutdown feature

A few moments ago, EVGA has made available new BIOS packages developed for its Z87 motherboard series, namely version 1.09 compatible with the Z87 FTW board, as well as BIOS 1.07 targeted at its Z87 Stinger and Classified devices.

When it comes to changes, while the FTW and Classified units benefit from a new BIOS POST Beep disable option, the Z87 Stinger motherboard gets the system shutdown issue fixed (encountered when memory module was changed from XMP to NON-XMP).

As for applying the new updates, get and expand the proper downloadable archive, close all programs and processes that might interfere with the upgrade, and run the “update.bat” file from within the newly created folder.

Now press “Y” in order to initiate the installation and wait for the system to apply the new BIOS version – make sure you don’t turn off or reboot the system while the upgrade is in progress.

After the flash is complete and the computer has automatically shut down, power the system back on and enter the BIOS menu in order to check if the upgrade has been successful – while there, you can also load the default BIOS settings (a good idea after every BIOS update).

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your EVGA device, get the downloadable package, and improve your motherboard’s usability by applying the new version.
