EVGA has released a new BIOS version A58 for its Classified SR-2 motherboard that brings a few fixes since the previous package, and it’s compatible with both bit-versions of all of Microsoft’s Windows operating systems.

The A58 package will set the CPU’s Uncore maximum configuration to 60X and solve its display problem, and in addition, the new BIOS will hide USB configuration through a menu cleanup.

When it comes to installing the BIOS, you must first know that it is highly recommended that you update to the latest version only if the package solves a specific problem that your board is having.

Moreover, if you must install this version, bear in mind that the update process must not be interrupted through a system restart, and most of all, do not start the upgrade on overclocked settings.

That being said, within the downloadable file you should find three files: one for 32-bit version OS (AFUWIN32.BAT), one for the 64-bit version platform (AFUWIN64.BAT), and one for DOS Mode (AFUDOS.BAT) as well.

Now, run the .bat file that best describes your system architecture or the update method desired, press “Y” (in capital letters), and wait for the process to complete.

After the flash is finished, load BIOS defaults settings by going to BIOS > Load Defaults > Save and Exit, and that’s all.

Now follow the link below, and download the latest BIOS version for your motherboard.
