EVGA has made its latest BIOS package developed for the X79 Classified motherboard available, namely version 2.03, which includes various improvements and compatibility updates that will raise the device’s performance.

In addition to that, this new version also brings support for Ivy Bridge-E central processing units, and applies a new GUI BIOS interface.

As for installing the package, get and extract the downloadable archive, close all open programs or any other process that might interfere with the update, and run the “Windows_Update.bat” from within the newly created folder.

Now press any key to continue, make sure you choose “Yes” at the User Account Control message, and afterwards, press “Y” to initiate the flash process.

Bear in mind that while the upgrade is in progress, turning off the power or resetting the system isn’t recommended, because this might lead to an update failure, which could cause serious damage to your board.

When the BIOS is completely updated, the computer will automatically shut down, at which point you should turn on the power, and check the currently installed version to ensure that the process is successful.

Therefore, if you have taken into account all these aspects and consider flashing your BIOS to the latest version, all you need is the 2.03 BIOS package that you can download by following the link below.
