Asrock dishes another powerful motherboard in the Extreme series

Here's one new addition to Asrock's Extreme series in the shape of the Z77 Extreme9 board. As its very name says, we're dealing with a board based on the Intel Z77 chipset and this means serious power.

Indeed, users can load this board with up to 32 GB of DDR3 memory spread across 4 DIMM slots and that can be set up to run at 3000 MHz in overclocked mode. If a high memory clock setting is desired, users might be compelled to have a 3rd-generation Core CPU installed.

Of course, the Z77 chip will also run great with SandyBridge processors, as well; please remember that the IvyBridge units are DirectX 11-compliant and this means a lot when it comes to integrated graphics.

For gaming or productivity, the Asrock Z77 Extreme9 can be equipped with both Nvidia and AMD graphic cards, as it supports both 4-way SLI and 4-way CrossFireX technologies (with Quad SLI and Quad CrossFireX, too). 8-channel audio with THX and Blu-ray support is standard, like the Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and the massive array of high-speed data transfer ports: we're looking at no less than 6 SATA3.0 6Gb/s connectors and 10 USB 3.0!

The overall performance of this already nifty board can be increased even further by using the Asrock proprietary XFast utilities, providing users with better RAM management, higher USB speed and better LAN connection. The Asrock Z77 Extreme9 also comes with a generous bundle of tweaking and monitoring software making both overclocking and taking care of your board a lot easier.

Download the Asrock Z77 Extreme9 BIOS, drivers and utilities and enjoy this powerful board.
