Windows 8-dedicated WHQL display drivers in the wild

Here's good news for all the guys out there who are looking to fully test the capabilities of Windows 8 when it comes to graphics and gaming: Nvidia releases the 302.82 version of the GeForce display drivers, a package designed especially for Microsoft's latest OS.

Despite the fact that the 302.82 is not quite the first Windows 8 display driver so far, Nvidia still does not offer any form of detailed info on the capabilities of the release. The only official information states that the current version offers full support for the Windows 8 display driver model WDDM 1.2, with no further data on performance specs or similar subjects.

Nevertheless, it's most likely that massive feedback returns from gamers in a rather short period of time; having the GeForce 302.82 installed on Windows 8 machines and giving it a thorough spin with the latest gaming titles will certainly generate extensive data and trigger a timely update.
