Here's another piece of news related to Sony's gaming console, but this time we're talking about the PS Vita.

The Japan-oriented portable PlayStation console dubbed Vita receives new firmware and we're also offering a download link for the said software. Like with most similar products, the manufacturers advise the owners to always update to the latest firmware versions, either to benefit from the new additions and fixes, or to close the (rather inherent) security gaps.

Firmware 1.60 for PS Vita will now allow users to use the recording feature for the Vita camera and adds a blue blinking color for the Home button when your console is charging. The new firmware will also enhance the compatibility between Mac computers and the console, while adding a Map App for navigation purposes, satellite images, maps and all.

As we were mentioning in the other piece of news about the upcoming PS 3 firmware, the PSN accounts will be renamed to Sony Entertainment Network. You can download the Sony PS Vita firmware 1.60 from psvitacfw.com.
