14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just released the latest firmware and driver pack for its Surface Pro tablet. This update contains the files provided via Windows Update.
If you think of updating the Surface RT with these drivers, don't bother doing so. Microsoft states that these files are not compatible with the RT tablet.
Inside the 147 MB archive, one can find driver version 6.2.8400.30143 for the Realtek Card Reader, 14.69.17064.93 for Marvell's WLAN and Bluetooth chips, as well as Intel's 15.28.15.64.3062 graphics driver.
The Intel HECI (or Management Engine Interface, as it is better known) is also present with the 8.1.0.1263 version.
One might find these drivers and firmware useful in preparing custom images for enterprise deployment, or to repair problems with custom installations of Windows 8 Pro.
