Just now, Ricoh has made available the latest firmware package targeted at its GR Digital IV camera, namely version 2.30, which includes new features and fixes that improve the device’s overall performance and stability.

The newly released package fixes issues with the flash that sometimes delayed charging indefinitely when Dynamic Range was set to Auto, and with the AR bracketing used with high-contrast black-and-white that would cause horizontal lines to appear.

In addition to that, version 2.30 removes the ‘Fluorescent” option, and replaces it with the “Shade,” “Daylight Fl.,” “Neut. Wht. Fl.,” “Cool Wht. Fl.,” and “Warm Wht. Fl. Cool Wht. Fl.” options, and adds Multi AF/Spot AF toggle to the list of the Fn button pair options.

Moreover, the Hi-Cntrast B&W, Cross Process, Positive Film, and Bleach Bypass menus now own a Very Weak vignetting option each, and the pressing and holding the macro button now activates Target selection.

That being said, follow the link below, download the firmware file, update, and enjoy the features that the new release brings.
