Only one day has passed since the release of Realtek LAN Driver 8.032, and now the producer has made available a new network-related package, namely version 7.086, which is compatible with its PCIe Fast Ethernet controllers as well as with both PCI and PCIe Gigabit Ethernet family NICs.

When it comes to the targeted operating systems, as the previous release covered the Windows 8, 8.1, and Server 2012 area, this build is targeted at both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7 OS as well as at the Server 2008 platform.

Just like the 8.032 version, the 7.086 update shares the same build number, namely 0526.2014, and consists of an auto-installation package that will help you apply the driver more easily.

In order to do that, simply confirm that your system is compatible with this release, get and extract the downloadable archive, run the “setup.exe” file from within the newly-created folder, and follow the on-screen instructions for a complete and successful installation.

After the update process finishes, the installer will request a system restart in order to make sure that all changes take effect properly. Still, if this step is skipped, do perform a manual reboot so that no problems are encountered.

That being said, download Realtek LAN Driver 7.086, get and apply the latest network driver on your system, and constantly check with our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
