Nvidia deliver their newest beta version for their GeForce and Verde display drivers, now reaching revision 290.53. The GeForce driver supports Windows XP, Vista and 7, while Verde, the notebook edition, dishes out the old XP. The biggest improvement of the 290.53 Beta driver is related to the Elder Scrolls: Skyrim game ¬– the overall performance is said to be up to 25% higher than what the old 290.36 driver could deliver. Obviously, this performance increase depends on GPU, system configuration and some other factors.

Other enhancements include new 3D Vision laser sight/ crosshair options to match Skyrim's crosshairs and updated Control Panel ambient occlusion. If you visit Geforce.com, you can also read a full Skyrim tweak guide to help you get the best gaming experience.

On the SLI side, this new beta driver brings profiles for Trine 2, WRC 2: FIA World Rally Championship 2011, and Afterfall: InSanity. A detailed list of 3D Vision updates can also be found on the download page for each driver.
