14 DAY TRIAL // Today, Sound Devices has unveiled a new firmware package targeted at its 664 field mixer, namely version 2.00, which adds several new features that improve the device’s functionality.
Specifically speaking, this newly released update adds a new Meter Views menu providing 3 different Meter View profiles that can be configured by the user. In addition to that, the user can switch between these profiles through the Meter button.
Moreover, the new mixer has the ability to turn off individual meter profiles, so that they can be used in any combination, and also gets an LR (Wide) Meter View feature for an easier track reading.
Furthermore, firmware 2.00 adds a new PFL Mode menu for switching between different features, as well as an Input Mode menu, so that the 664 mixer can swap between standard 6-channel to expanded 12-channel, without any CL-6 connected.
