NVIDIA has unveiled its latest Game Ready driver of the R313 family releases, namely the 314.21 Beta version, which is targeted at the GeForce Graphics Cards. The main improvement of this release, or the reason NVIDIA launched this driver, would have to be the increased performance and stability in Tomb Raider.

The desktop packages of this release are compatible with all of Microsoft’s OSes, for the desktop-based cards, and with Windows 7 and 8, for the notebook graphics cards.

The XP-compatible driver, besides the Tomb Raider improvement, adds new SLI profiles, and in addition to this, the other packages introduce 3D Vision profiles.

The 314.21 Beta release also installs the 9.12.1031 PhysX System Software and 1.3.23.1 HD Audio, and includes support for CUDA Toolkit-build applications. More than that, it supports OpenGL 4.3 (with GeForce 400-series or later), DisplayPort 1.2 (with GTX 600 GPUs), and multiple languages and APIs for GPU computing.
