14 DAY TRIAL // Intel has outed a new update suitable for a large number of its NUC units, namely the May 2014 bundle package, which includes all the drivers required by the compatible boards and kits in order to provide maximum performance.
The May 2014 release consists of several packages developed for Intel’s D54250WYK, D34010WYK, DE3815TYKHE, DN2820FYKH, and DC53427HYE NUC kits, and for the producer’s D34010WYB, D54250WYB, DE3815TYBE, and D53427RKE NUC boards.
For the above-mentioned NUCs Intel has made available a bundle package for each of the 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems.
Moreover, the DCP847SKE, D33217CK, and D33217GKE boards and the DC3217BY, DCCP847DYE, DC3217IYE kits also have several archives developed for the aforementioned OSes, and, in addition to that, the devices benefit from XP-compatible packages as well (both bit variants).
When it comes to the content of the downloadable files, the archives include several drivers such as Chipset, Smart Connect, Rapid Storage, USB 3.0, Graphics, Management Engine, Network, Audio, and other related files needed by each of the targeted NUCs.
Bear in mind that this bundle package doesn't necessary include the latest driver versions – the present release is targeted at users who need the whole set instead of downloading individual drivers.
As for installing this version, you need to download and extract the appropriate package for your NUC and OS and, within the created folder, you will find several folders that must be applied one at a time. Also, do perform a system reboot after each installation to ensure all the changes take effect.
