You can now get your hands on the latest display drivers released by AMD, namely the 12.3 Catalyst. The new software brings updated driver version for the components of the suite and promises smoother operation.

The current display driver version is 8.951, the same as the one for the Catalyst Control Center and then Vision Engine Control Center. The most important new feature in the Catalyst 12.3 is that the current version now fully supports the Radeon HD 7900, HD 7800 and HD 7700 cards.

Catalyst 12.3 brings fixes which address the Control Center startup issues and delays reported by the users. With Windows Vista, users had also experienced troubles displaying the Control Center when it was launched while using WinDVD with Blu-ray discs, and now the problem seems to have found a solution.

As it was expected, the most fixes are intended for Windows 7 users and address both new and older gaming titles, as follows:

- Tom Clancy HAWX: No longer crashes after task switching with MLAA (Morphological Anti-Aliasing) and Anti-Aliasing enabled - FurMark Benchmark: No longer crashes when launched in High Performance mode; - Quake 4: No longer displays corruption after task switching when running in High Performance mode; - XPlane: Textures no longer exhibit flicker and corruption; - Skyrim: No longer displays flickering and texture corruption; - Alan Wake: A system crash is no longer experienced when running the game in DirectX 9 mode with Crossfire enabled; - Far Cry 2: A random system hang is no longer experienced when running the game at high in-game settings.
