14 DAY TRIAL // We're quite excited to announce the release of Windows 8-compatible Nvidia Quadro drivers, in the shape of the 296.17 revision.
The new set of drivers comes with support for the existing operating systems nonetheless, and bears the 296.35 tag. The main characteristic of the R295 drivers is the "Optimal for Enterprise Drivers" feature, included for relatively long-term stability with ISV certifications, OEMs and of course Enterprise customers.
The present release brings support for OpenGL 4.2, OpenCL 1.1 in FX4600 and FX5600cards, as well as in x700 cards or higher. 8-display arrays are now supported, and Nvidia WMI 2.4 receives numerous improvements for VSync, Edid, queries on available GPU memory and better configuration for Mosaic topologies.
Users who are running CUDA and OpenGL can now take advantage of the full power of applications using 256 GB of system memory, thanks to the 256 GB Virtual Space feature; at the same time, the Digital Video Pipeline and the new API's ensure low-latency access to the SDI hardware for faster processing and less waiting.
