Buffalo has made available a new firmware package targeted at its business-class access points, namely firmware 1.25.5 compatible with the WAPS-APG600H and WAPS-AG300H wireless devices, which includes several new changes that should improve the units’ overall performance and stability.

Specifically speaking, if this release is applied, the two AirStation Pro access points will benefit from new VLAN functionalities and the user will now be able to re-authenticate if a MAC RADIUS authentication session times out.

In addition to that, various LED controls issues are now resolved, users from other VLANs will now be properly counted as wireless clients by the VLAN management, and a communication error between some untagged ports encountered under certain circumstances is fixed.

Moreover, certain BN-ADT and WL-ADT problems have been resolved and its configurations can now be correctly saved, the wireless communication is now accessible even if the temperature varies between its extreme points, and a custom message has been added when a USB device wastes power.

When it comes to applying this firmware version, you need to get and extract the compatible package and log into the AP’s settings page. Now click “Update,” then “Browse,” navigate and select the bin file from within the newly created folder, click “Update” once more, and the upgrade process will start.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your Buffalo access point, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, get the new firmware, and update your wireless device.
