14 DAY TRIAL // Casio has just made available a new firmware package targeted at its EX-TR35 and EX-TR350S cameras, namely version 1.01, which enhances only the Make-up effect processing.
Therefore, if you own one of these devices and intend to make use of this new improvement, first go to Menu → Setup → Version and see if the currently installed firmware isn’t either newer or matching the present release.
If checked, get and run the proper download for your system’s OS in order to extract the .bin file and copy it onto the root folder of a formatted memory card using any available method. Afterwards, turn off the device, insert the memory card into the camera, and then power it back on.
Now, go to the “Version” section in the setup menu and confirm the upgrade by tapping “Yes,” and allow the camera to apply the new update.
Bear in mind that, as long as the “Now Loading” message is displayed on the LCD, you mustn’t interfere with the camera's buttons, remove the memory card, or take out the battery. Upon completion, the screen will show a “Complete” message.
You should also know that, before initiating the upgrade, it would be best to back up all important files from the camera to avoid any data loss. Also, once the 1.01 version is applied, downgrading to any previous firmware won’t be possible.
