Dell has just released a new update for its XPS 14 and XPS 15 notebooks. To be precise, for the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 wireless LAN adapter inside these products. Version 16.8.0 comes with no release notes or hints on what's new, so, if you install the driver, please leave a comment describing what's changed.

The update comes with Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 support, for both the 32- and 64-bit versions.

If you're not familiar with these devices, know that the XPS 14 starts at $1,500 (roughly €1,100), while its bigger brother, the XPS 15, goes for $1,950 (€1,430). This being said, the two devices are not cheap.

At first glance, one will notice the tasteful, simple design that gets better as you get closer. The body is made of aluminum and Dell mentions it is “as tough as it is striking.” On the same note, the display is Corning Gorilla Glass and should be as sturdy as the exterior.

The final touch of high-end materials comes with the magnesium palm rest, coated with a “velvety soft-touch paint” to offer the most comfortable experience.
