14 DAY TRIAL // Creative has outed a new driver developed for two of its Sound Blaster audio cards, namely version 3.01.0039 compatible with the Sound Blaster Audigy 5 and Audigy Rx devices, which includes a few changes that should improve the units’ overall performance.
Specifically speaking, this release fixes the language issue that didn’t allow the cards’ applications to display Simplified Chinese on non-Chinese operating systems, and updates the audio driver and Sound Blaster Audigy Control Panel to version 6.0.301.0039 and 1.00.14, respectively.
Moreover, this new version also updates the Diagnostics utility (5.11.35) and the Karaoke Player (2.12.02), and adds support for Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 operating system.
As for installing Creative’s present release, first make sure your system is running on one of Microsoft’s Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1 platforms (either 32- or 64-bit variants), and then get the suitable downloadable package for your audio card.
Now run the executable, wait for the installer to extract all the needed files for a complete installation, select the desired language, click “Next,” and follow the on-screen instructions. In addition to that, after the update has finished, make sure you reboot your system so that the changes can take effect.
