Today, Creative has released a new driver targeted at its Sound Blaster X-Fi audio devices, namely version 2.30.0004, which is developed for both 32- and 64-bit architectures of Microsoft’s Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems.

As for the compatible devices, version 2.30.0004 can be applied on systems containing one of Creative’s Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro, X-Fi Fatal1ty, X-Fi Platinum, X-Fi XtremeGamer, and X-Fi XtremeMusic audio cards.

In addition to that, the producer’s release is also suitable for the Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion and Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional audio card series.

When it comes to changes, as the producer highlights, this package includes several fixes that should improve the driver’s overall stability and performance.

As for applying this latest driver, simply get and run the downloadable package, wait for it to extract all the needed files for the installation, select the desired language, and follow the on-screen instructions for a successful update. Still, bear in mind that this driver mustn’t be installed for the Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio unit.
