Just now, Creative has released a new firmware package targeted at its Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB headsets, namely version 0114, which adds USB audio support for Sony's PlayStation 4 gaming system.

This update comes only three days after the release of Firmware 1.59 for Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headsets, that included the same changes as the present update.

In order to benefit from this addition, you should first get the proper downloadable package for your computer. The producer has made available a package targeted at Mac OS X 10.5.8 or above systems, and one compatible with Microsoft’s Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1 platforms (both 32- and 64-bit variants).

After the required file has been saved, connect the USB headset directly to the computer (don’t use a USB hub), run the newly-downloaded package, and follow the instructions for a complete and successful upgrade.

Bear in mind that, since an update failure can cause serious malfunctions, you should ensure that the Tactic3D Rage USB device is connected throughout the installation. Also, don’t unplug the unit or reboot your computer unless the new software has been applied.

Last but not least, upon completion, simply reconnect the audio device to make sure all changes take effect, and you’re done.

That being said, download Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB Headset Firmware 0114, take into account all aforementioned aspects, save the appropriate file on your computer, and update the headset to the latest firmware version.
