Corsair has outed a new firmware version developed for its Voyager Air and Voyager Air 2 mobile wireless drives, namely build 2.1.2, which can be applied only if the previous Corsair Voyager Air Firmware 2.0.17 is already installed on the device.

This newly-released update allows iOS users to save images to their Camera Roll, removes a thumbnail cropping bug, and includes a “Resume” option for downloading videos.

In addition to that, version 2.1.2 adds a confirmation dialog for passthru commands, gives the ability to change the name of a playlist, and allows users to view images in the Photo Library regardless of any metadata.

Moreover, the authentication process for cloud synchronization, for services such as Dropbox or Google Drive, is now simplified, and a “Retry” button has been added to the connection dialog.

If you intend to apply this package, first make sure your drive is already running firmware 2.0.17 and the battery level is at least 20%. However, we recommend that you either use a power cable or a fully charged battery so that no problems are encountered.

Afterwards, get and extract the downloadable archive, copy the “VoyagerAir-2.1.2.pkg” file onto the root folder of your drive using a USB cable, turn off the wireless storage, and disconnect the unit from the computer.

Now, turn the device back on, connect to the Voyager Air, go to Settings → Drive Firmware → Update Available, and press “Update” to initiate the process. During the upgrade, the Wi-Fi icon will blink continuously and it will stop upon completion.

That being said, download Corsair Voyager Air Wireless Storage Firmware 2.1.2, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and apply the latest firmware version on your mobile drive. Also, constantly check with our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
