This release improves recovering from Timeseek and adds support for DSDIFF and DSF format

Cloud Media has recently released a new firmware update for its Popcorn Hour A-400 media player. Version 05-05-140119-25-POP-422-802 brings numerous fixes and improvements, as well as new features.

Among these, worth mentioning are the new playback engine, the added support for DSDIFF and DSF format and for DSD64/128 decode, and the fix for the Twitter issue.

To update, download the Cloud Media Popcorn Hour A-400 Media Player Firmware 05-05-140119-25-POP-422-802 and extract the archive to an accessible folder. At the mentioned link you will find the complete release notes as well.

Copy the recently extracted files to the root folder of a thumb drive and safely remove the device. Next, plug the USB stick in your A-400 and go to “Setup,” then “Maintenance.” Select “Firmware Update” and, finally, “Check for Firmware Update.”

If the update file is found on the thumb drive, the update process will start automatically and, when it's complete, the unit will restart.
