Cloud Media has just released a new update for its Popcorn Hour A-300 media player. The package includes firmware version 05-03-131223-23-POP-421-000 and NMT apps 05-02-130708-23-POP-421.

This build fixes the issue with bookmarks not clearing after “Restore to Factory Defaults,” changes the default font, and updates translations.

A thorough description of firmware 05-03-131223-23-POP-421 can be found on the download page for Cloud Media Popcorn Hour A-300 Media Player.

To update, unzip and copy the contents of the downloaded archive to the root folder of a FAT32 formatted memory stick, then safely remove it from your computer.

Go to your Popcorn Hour A-300 and plug it in the USB port. Go to “Setup” and select “Maintenance.” Navigate through the options and select “Firmware Update,” then “Check For Firmware Update.”

The unit will now search for valid firmware files and automatically start the installation. After it completes and restarts, go to “Setup,” “Maintenance,” and select “NMT Setup Wizard.” This will pick up the apps.nmt file and install the new applications package.
