The versions adjust recorded and displayed image quality

Today, Casio has rolled out firmware version 1.02 compatible with the EX-FR10 camera, as well as software update 1.01 targeted at its controller unit, which adjust recorded and displayed image quality, respectively.

In addition to that, the camera’s Bluetooth controller won’t go black after 25 seconds anymore. Now, it will stay on and ready for up to 10 minutes for a smoother usage.

Considering these changes, if you intend to update your EX-FR10 camera and its controller, first of all turn them on, go to Home > Menu > Setup > Version using the controller, and check both displayed firmware builds so that they aren’t newer or matching these new releases.

If all is ok, save and extract the camera’s update archive, transfer the two .bin files onto a formatted memory card, turn your imaging unit off, and connect the newly-prepared card to its available slot.

Now, simply press and hold the power button until you see a red LED. This indicates that the upgrade process has been initiated, and it will finish when the LED goes orange, and then turns off.

When it comes to the camera’s controller, get and unzip the proper archive for your computer OS (compatible with Windows and Mac OS platforms), run the available setup, and connect both devices via a USB cable (controller must be turned off).

Afterwards, hold both movie and shutter buttons while powering on Casio’s controller, and you should be prompted with a “Program Update” message on the computer. At this point, you should choose “Yes,” wait for the process to complete, and then disconnect and remove the controller.

With this in mind, download Casio EX-FR10 Camera Firmware 1.02 and Casio EX-FR10 Controller Firmware 1.01, and apply them by following the above-described steps. Also, check our website as often as possible to be aware when newer versions are available.
