14 DAY TRIAL // After adding support for its Studio Camera 4K unit through BlackMagic Camera Firmware update Utility 1.9.1 a few days ago, the producer has just rolled out a new update utility version, namely 1.9.2, which includes support for the newly-released URSA imaging unit.
For the moment, this utility release can be used along with BlackMagic’s URSA EF (5995 $ / 4480 €) and URSA PL (6495 $ / 4855 €) digital units, as the other two models presented on the producer’s website, namely URSA Broadcast and URSA HDMI, are to be released soon.
When it comes to installing version 1.9.2, you should know that it can be applied on systems running only the 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 8 OSes, as well as Mac OS X platforms. Bear in mind that Windows 8.1 operating system isn’t supported by the present release.
In addition to that, it would be best if the “Uninstall Camera Utility” were run prior to the installation of the 1.9.2 version in order to ensure a fresh and successful upgrade.
With this in mind, save and unzip the appropriate package for your computer OS, run the available setup, and follow the on-screen instructions. Also, upon completion, make sure you manually reboot the system if the wizard doesn’t perform it automatically.
