BlackMagic Design has just outed its new 6.0.1 Universal VideoHub update that is compatible with the 72 and 288 device models, and which upgrades both the client and server software for these products.

In addition to that, the new release fixes the improper “Lock” behavior spotted in the VideoHub Control, resolves various compatibility problems regarding some Windows systems, and also improves the overall performance and stability.

If applied, the 6.0.1 update installs the Blackmagic Videohub Control, Videohub Setup, and Videohub Hardware Panel Setup.

When it comes to operating systems, the producer has made available two downloadable archives: one suitable for Mac OS X 10.8 or latest platforms, and the other targeted at the 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 8 OSes.

Therefore, if you want to benefit from these newly made changes, first make sure you have a free Ethernet and USB port, run the “Uninstall Videohub” program prior to applying the new software, and reboot the computer.

Now save and extract the appropriate file, run the available setup, and follow the on-screen instructions for a complete and successful upgrade. Also, upon completion, make sure to perform a manual restart if the installer doesn’t require it.

That being said, download BlackMagic VideoHub Firmware Update Utility 6.0.1, and upgrade the device’s software to the latest version. Also, constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
