An all-notebook day for the BIOS section, but it's pure coincidence

After we saw the number of notebook BIOS files increasing during the last days, it's completely funny to see that today's list contains only laptops... and we didn't do that on purpose!

Today's star is the U36SD notebook from Asus, a very nifty piece of computing machinery, only 19mm thick but loaded with a standard voltage Intel SandyBridge CPU. The 8-cell battery delivers up to 10 hours of continuous operation, which we must admit is very nice.

The ultra-lightweight Aluminum-Magnesium alloy display cover adds to the overall looks, with a touch of stylish ruggedness. The U36SD can accommodate up to 8 GB DDR3 while the GT 520M 1 GB Nvidia graphics card complements the 13.3" HD LED display quite well.

All the nice feats and small dimensions come with a price, though: the absence of an optical drive, but if you can live with that, you're in for a nice treat.

The BIOSes:

Asus U36SD Notebook Bios 206 HP G72-252US Notebook BIOS F.37 for Windows 7 Acer Extensa 4120 Notebook BIOS 1.18 HP G72-253NR Notebook BIOS F.37 for Windows 7

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent BIOS version available. Do not forget to check with our site as often as possible in order to stay updated on the latest BIOS files.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a BIOS or device driver. This will help if you installed a wrong BIOS or driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
