Atomos has just outed new firmware packages targeted at some of its products, namely version 2.05 developed for its Connect and Connect-AC converters (both H2S and S2H), as well as version 5.03 compatible with the Samurai Blade field recorder.

When it comes to changes, version 2.05 updates HDMI Record Triggering so that it supports Sony’s new specifications, enhanced RGB to YUV Color Space Conversion Accuracy, and fixes 3G Test Pattern Embedding and Test Pattern Color Bar with some early units.

As for the 5.03 firmware, this version upgrades audio level meters, equips all 14 channels from the audio page with large meters, and adds the frame accurate audio delay option in the same page so that any digital or analog audio delays can be adjusted.

Moreover, the Samurai Blade now has Canon 5D Mark III input color correction option, its WFM stays enabled while using the playback buttons, and the 2:2 pulldown feature now displays a “2:2” icon next to the indicator when on.

Furthermore, version 5.03 fixes problems with some cameras that resulted into distorted video displaying, changes the “Year” setting to start from “2013,” and improves drive size calculation so that recordings don’t start if there isn’t enough space.

As for installing the packages, the detailed update procedure is provided through the download page of each of the Connect and Connect-AC converters, and Samurai Blade recorder.

That being said, follow one of the links below depending on which of the Atomos products you own, carefully read the installation instructions, and update your device.
