Amped Wireless has made available a new firmware package targeted at its APA20 high power access point, namely version 3.4.5.01.01, which adds support for a new Auto-Reboot feature that allows users to configure scheduled reboot tasks.

In addition to that, the newly released update also includes a new Network Time Protocol (NTP) option in order for the device to sync the system time over the Internet for a more accurate display.

Moreover, version 3.4.5.01.01 improves wireless performance and system stability, and fixes various Wi-Fi issues regarding occasional connection drops.

That being said, if you intend to upgrade your device to this release, you should first go to More Settings → Management → Save/Reload Settings → Save Settings to File to back up the settings so that nothing is lost.

Afterwards, get and extract the downloadable archive, and, from the device’s user interface, go to More Settings → Management → Upgrade Firmware → Choose File. Now, browse and select the “fw-apa20_061814.bin” file, click the “Upload” button, and allow the access point to perform the upgrade.

When finished, the device will reboot and the web page will refresh; at this point, you should go to the Save/Reload Settings section once more, load the configurations you have saved in the first place, and you’re all set up.

Therefore, download Amped Wireless APA20 Access Point Firmware 3.4.5.01.01, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and upgrade your device to the latest firmware version.
