Users of Allen & Heath’s Qu-16 digital mixer can now enjoy the benefits of the newly released 1.10 firmware package that not only adds some interesting features, but also fixes several minor issues.

Version 1.10 makes the Qu-16 able to connect with the Qu-Pad through a Wi-Fi network, therefore providing wireless mixing control, and adds scene recall for SoftKeys and Custom Layer settings in the Global Filter tab.

In addition to that, Input and Mix channels are now safer thanks to the tabs added in the Scenes screen, and storing mixer settings as a “Show” on a USB drive is now possible (a folder containing current data, name, and scene files is created on the USB, not on the Qu-16).

Moreover, the new firmware enables the dSNAKE port for connecting the remote AR2412 or AR84 audio racks, includes support for ME personal mixer, and adds user assignable Custom Layer feature through which you can map any combination you desire to the 16 faders.

As for fixes, the occasional problem with faders displaying wrong mixing information when exiting GEO Fader Flip, or the issue with the mute master not being able to assign the proper setting to the FX Sends, are now resolved.

That being said, follow the link below, download the package, and update your Qu-16 mixer’s firmware version.
