Today, Allen & Heath has made available a new firmware package developed for its ME-1 personal mixer unit, namely version 1.11 revision 14851, which fixes several issues regarding groups and stereo linking.

Specifically speaking, this new release resolves a problem where modifying stereo links at source wouldn’t properly update key assignments, pan/balance, and audio routing for the affected channels.

In addition to that, after stereo linking two mono channels that belong to a specific group, they now display the correct status within the group, and the audio pan settings have also been changed to become balanced.

Moreover, compatibility problems regarding stereo linking between Qu mixers and the ME-1 device are resolved, and presets can now be overwritten without reverting data to the previous settings even after changing group members.

When it comes to applying this update, first check the currently installed version to ensure it isn’t either newer or matching the present release. To do so, open the Setup menu (hold Shift and press the Group key) and then scroll and select the “About” option.

Afterwards, save and unzip the downloadable archive, copy the content onto a formatted USB stick, insert it into the ME-1 system, and go to Setup > System Setup > Firmware.

Now simply select the 1.11 version displayed on the right of the “On USB:” option, choose “Ok” at the confirmation dialog, and wait for the new software to be installed. Upon completion, the mixer will automatically reboot announcing a successful upgrade.

That being said, download Allen & Heath ME-1 Personal Mixer Firmware 1.11.14851, take into account all aforementioned aspects, apply the latest software on your mixer, and enjoy the new benefits that this release brings about.
