14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung has rolled out firmware update version 1.07 compatible with all NX Mini cameras, which adds support for Brightening and Softening retouch features through the new “Beauty Face” option, and includes a fresh picture moving function when in portrait orientation.
In order to benefit from these changes, first go to Menu > Settings > Device Information > Body Firmware on your camera, and check to see if the currently installed build isn’t newer or matching the present release.
If not, save and unzip the downloadable package, transfer the “DATANXmini.bin” file onto a formatted memory card (must be initialized using the camera), and insert it into the powered off NX unit.
Now go to the “Body Firmware” section once more, and select it in order to initiate the update process. Also, agree with the “Body Upgrade?” message by choosing “Yes,” and allow the camera to perform the installation.
Bear in mind that during the upgrade you mustn’t remove the battery, cut off the power, shutdown/restart the camera, or disconnect the memory card. Doing so will not only terminate the update but also cause serious or even irreversible device malfunctions.
Upon completion, the NX Mini will automatically power off, at which point you must remove the memory card, turn the unit back on, and check the currently installed firmware to ensure a successful upgrade.
