ASUS has just announced the availability of firmware version 3.0.0.4 build 376.3602 targeted at several of its routers, which includes 3G/LTE compatibility, new network map features, as well as various fixes.

First of all, I should clear things up regarding the supported devices. This update can be applied on W, R, and U models of ASUS’ RT-N66, -AC66, and -AC68 routers, U and R models of the RT-AC56 unit, as well as on the producer’s RT-N12 ver. D1 wireless device.

When it comes to the changes brought by this release, applying version 376.3602 adds DHCP and static IP identification, updates OpenSSL library to 1.0.0o, and fixes the NAT loopback, NTP sync in AP mode, and samba issues (when two USB drives are connected).

In addition to that, you will also be able to assign a fix IP for a client by clicking the lock icon, view number of connected clients, and make use of IPTV, Media bridge mode, VPN server without bumping into any problems.

Last but not least, as I highlighted above, this new release includes several compatibility improvements for Huawei, ZTE, and BandLuxe modems, as well as for HTC M8 USB tethering.

Therefore, if you intend to make use of these new changes, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your router, save the proper downloadable package for your model, and apply it on the device.
