The new release consists of separate download records, each compatible with a specific SKU

ASUS has outed its latest firmware package targeted at the MeMo Pad FHD 10 mobile tablet, namely version 4.7.1. However, in the absence of an official changelog, I can only assume that it improves the device’s overall performance and stability.

The release consists of separate download records, each compatible with a specific SKU, which must be wisely chosen if you consider applying this version. The update procedure isn’t able to switch between SKUs or to install an earlier firmware version.

Therefore, if you want to do it right and experience no problems whatsoever, go to Settings → About Tablet → Build Number, and from there, read your currently installed SKU (Stock-Keeping Unit) to know what package to download.

The stock-keeping unit consists of the letters before the first underscore – as an example, if the build number is “WW_epad-4.X.X.X_2012xxxx,” then the SKU will be “WW.”

Bear in mind that using an earlier firmware version or a different SKU than the ones already installed on the tablet could lead to an update failure which may render the device unstable.

That being said, follow the link below, and from the list of available SKUs, click on the one that best describes yours and which you have just read from the build number.
