The producer doesn’t recommend updating the BIOS if the system is already running normally

ASRock has unveiled BIOS version 2.10 targeted at its Z87 Pro3 motherboard, which improves the UEFI guide string for the multi-language feature.

The release consists of 3 files describing 3 different update methods, namely one Windows-based file, one DOS compatible package, and one that upgrades BIOS using Instant Flash.

If the Windows-method is preferred, run the exe file, and let it restart the computer; this will auto update the BIOS, so make sure you don’t interrupt the process, and after another reboot, ensure that you load the BIOS’ default settings.

As for the DOS file, create a bootable drive containing this package, boot from the drive that you just made, and at the “A:\” screen, type the name of the executable file – this will result into a system restart (take into account the recommendations made at the Windows method).

And last but not least, the Instant Flash procedure can be used by copying the downloadable files onto a USB drive, press “F2” during boot, and select the Instant Flash utility under Tool menu – the compatible versions found will be displayed, and you must select one.

Bear in mind that the producer doesn’t recommend updating the BIOS version if the system works fine with the current one, and it doesn’t take credit for any related damage caused by wrong operations made while updating the BIOS.

That being said, if you consider installing this latest version, follow the link below, click on the “Download” button, and from the list, choose the download record that best describes your desired update method.
