ASRock has just released a new set of BIOSes aimed at its IMB series motherboards. The exact model numbers that get the update are IMB-170, IMB-170-V, IMB-370-D, IMB-370-L, IMB-380-D and IMB-380-L.

Going through the release notes of all the targeted products, I have found out the common change: improvements to the SIO (Semanticscience Integrated Ontology) code. This provides a simple, integrated ontology of types and relations for rich description of objects, processes and their attributes.

For the IMB-170 and IMB-170-V, the updated USB code is present beside the common change, while for the IMB-380-L and IMB-380-D, the COM 3~6 port detecting issue with Windows 8.1 has been fixed.

The BIOSes are available in the well-known version: Windows, Instant Flash and DOS. As always, I recommend the Instant Flash because it is both the smallest in size and easy to install through the preinstalled update utility in the initial BIOS.
