Today, ASRock has made available new BIOS packages targeted at several of its motherboards, namely versions 1.20, 1.60, 2.10, and 2.20 for the Fatal1ty B85 Killer, 980DE3/U3S3, Fatal1ty H87 Performance, and B85M devices, respectively.

Moreover, the producer has also outed new BIOS versions developed for two of its newly-released Z97 chipset-based motherboards, namely build 1.10 and 1.30 compatible with the Fatal1ty Z97X Killer and Z97M Pro4 units.

When it comes to changes, the 980DE3/U3S3 device gets its system and memory compatibility improved, the two B85 chipset boards receive Crashless module updates, and the Fatal1ty H87 Performance’s C-State MSR will not lock.

As for the newly-released motherboards, their related BIOS versions update the C0 microcode in order to add support for the Pentinum Anniversary.

In addition to that, while the Z97M Pro4 gets its OC ability improved, the Fatal1ty Z97X Killer receives SATA Express compatibility enhancements, as well as a new HSW-R CPU option for the Power Saving Mode.

If you intend to apply one of these versions, you should know that ASRock has provided 3 different BIOS archives that describe different update methods, namely Instant Flash, DOS, and Windows-related packages.

Moreover, we recommend that you perform a BIOS upgrade only when the new firmware specifically resolves an issue that your board has been encountering or brings a modification that you can make use of.
