14 DAY TRIAL // ASRock has recently launched the EP2C602-2L+OS6/D16 server/workstation motherboard and, along with it, the full drivers list. The new releases are meant to work with Windows 7, Server 2003, 2008 and 2012, on both 32 and 64-bit architectures.
This motherboard uses an Intel C602 chipset and has two LGA2011 sockets, capable of handling Xeon E5-1600/2600/4600 and v2 series CPUs. The same American manufacturer provides the LAN controllers. There is one 10 Gigabit port managed by an 82599EN chip and a 10/100/1000 Mbps one, driven by Intel's i350 adapter.
LSI provides the SAS controller and its “MegaRAID” utility to back it up, while ASpeed handles the graphics with its AST2300 adapter.
Memory support is not going to be a problem. This motherboard has 16 240-pin DDR3 DIMM slots that can take up to 512 GB of 1600/1333/1066 R/LR ECC and UDIMM memory.
