ASRock has just released the latest BIOS package targeted at its H87M-ITX motherboard, namely version 1.40, which promises to improve the overall performance and stability of the device.

The release adds support for Non-Z OC with K series central processing units, changes Internet Flash server to USA, and updates CPU code. Moreover, it improves UEFI stability and guide string for multi-language, overclocking ability, as well as CPU fan behavior.

Version 1.40 can be installed through 3 different update methods thanks to the 3 download records that the board benefits from.

Specifically speaking, there is a Windows-related file to be used only under Microsoft’s operating systems, a DOS package that installs the BIOS by booting up from it, and an Instant Flash download record that can be used only through the BIOS setup menu.

So, if you consider installing this version, you should know that if the system works well, there is no need to apply a newer BIOS. An upgrade is recommended only if the package about to be installed fixes a specific problem that the board encounters.

That being said, from the links below, follow the first one to download the latest BIOS version for your H87M-ITX, or the second one to browse through all the available drivers the ASRock’s device benefits from.
