14 DAY TRIAL // ASRock has just released two new BIOSes for its 87 OC Formula and Z87 OC Formula/ac motherboards. Carrying the same 1.70 version number, these updates are meant to improve memory and VGA compatibility, as well as the "UEFI Tech Service" function.
The update comes, as usual with ASRock, in three versions: for Windows, Instant Flash or DOS. All of them are available at the links below.
Judging by the names, you would have probably figured by now that these boards are basically the same except for one feature: wireless LAN.
The Z87 OC Formula/ac supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band wireless connection and has two antennas to make sure the signal strength is always at its maximum.
To update, ASRock recommends you use the Instant Flash utility in the preinstalled BIOS. This tool will search your computer and peripheral plugged-in devices for a suitable BIOS file.
All that remains for you to do is to confirm that you want to flash it and it will all be done automatically.
