ASRock has released new BIOS versions for its AMD 970 Chipset motherboards. The models that got this update are 970 Extreme3, 970 Extreme3 R2.0, 970 Extreme4, 970 Pro3, 970 Pro3 R2.0.

The release notes have a few common changes such as the memory compatibility improvement and the ZOTAC GT610 issue.

Apart from 970 Extreme3 R2.0 and 970 Pro3 R2.0 cards, the rest receive updates for the UEFI RAID driver and support for UEFI PXE boot.

As usual with ASRock, the BIOS files come in three available versions: for Windows, Instant Flash and for DOS. The manufacturer recommends that you update through its preinstalled flashing utility.

You will find it in BIOS, under the “Smart” section. It will automatically detect the available update files on your HDD, USB drive or floppy and it will ask you whether to install them.

Click on the motherboards' names in the first paragraph to get the latest BIOS for them. Carefully install the new releases and stay “updated one minute ago.”
