14 DAY TRIAL // Here's the second official display driver from AMD for 2012, in the shape of a new 11.12 release, developed for the Radeon HD 7900 boards running under Windows 7 64-bit operating systems.
AMD themselves have been quite scarce on details as of what's been changed with this new release. The only data which has surfaced was that the 2D driver is now version 8.01.01.1215, while the 3D version is 7.14.10.0890.
The OpenGL version has reached 6.14.10.11331 and the new Control Center Version is 2012.0104.2210.39734. This new Radeon HD 7900 11.12 driver will only work with Windows 7 x64, with little to no prospect of being released for other OSes.
AMD notes that this version of the 11.12 Catalyst is offered "As Is;" therefore, not much support will be given in case things don't work as smooth as expected. If you encounter any problems, it is advised to revert to an older driver version and wait for further fixes.
