Despite the fact that more HD 7900 series boards have been announced by major manufacturers, AMD stresses that the 12.2 Preview driver still does not support them and users should install the 8.921.2 RC11 version.
Catalyst 12.2 Preview brings numerous Eyefinity 2.1 enhancements such as a larger list of available resolutions, display configurations switching automatically as users plug or unplug monitors, fully customizable and scalable HydraVision taskbar, or extended support for various monitor groups like 5x1.
The AMD Catalyst 12.2 Preview display driver currently supports Windows Vista and 7 only; no word on XP support until the final version. AMD stresses that the 12.2 Preview is offered AS IS, and should users experience errors, it's advised that they should send feedback and roll back to the 12.1 version.
