A new version of the AMD Catalyst 12.11 Beta 11 – 7900 Modded driver has been offered to the public. As soon as AMD pushed out the latest version of the Catalyst, Benchmark3D got busy and created a modded version of it.

The driver package version is 9.01.8-121202a-150272E-ATI. If these numbers mean nothing to you, don't worry, it’s just proof that this release is based on the original 12.11 Beta 11 driver from AMD.

Changes for this version include the addition of Catalyst 12.11 CAP 2, HydraVision 4.2.242.0 and AMD Avivo Codec.

Some features have been unlocked, like Temporal AA, High Quality AF, Geometry Instancing, LOD option, Test Custom Clocks and Auto-Tune options under OverDrive and Adaptive Anti-Aliasing Quality Slider (which is still buggy).

atipdlxx.dll and atipdl64.dll have been re-included in the package for better support with 3rd party tools.

ULPS (Ultra-Low Power State, a power saving function) is disabled, but can be enabled if needed. What the ULPS does is put your graphic board in stand-by when it's not in use. If you're using multiple cards in Crossfire setup, this feature will turn off your secondary adapter when it is not in use.

The link below will take you to a page where you can download the modded drivers.

Be advised, this driver is not a stable release, so use with caution. This is not an official AMD release and Softpedia cannot be held responsible in case your system is damaged after installation.
