The new release doesn’t highlight any fixes or improvements

Today, ACMELL has provided its SD28 action camera owners with a new update package, namely firmware version 20141204v02, which I assume might include general stability and performance improvements, as there isn’t any changelog available.

In order to find out for yourself what the changes really are, first of all check your device’s currently installed version and make sure it isn’t either newer or matching the present release.

Afterwards, if all is ok, format a compatible memory card using an SD28 action camera, save the downloadable .bin file, and transfer it onto the card’s root folder. Upon completion, turn off your device and insert the prepared memory card into its available SD slot.

Now make sure the device’s charging adapter is connected to a stable power source, and simply turn the camera on. Once it is on, it will automatically initialize the upgrade process after verifying any firmware file found.

In addition to that, bear in mind that once the SD28 unit does its part and reboots, it would be a good idea to check its currently installed version to make sure the firmware update has been successful.

Moreover, don’t forget to format the SD card used in this process so that your device doesn’t perform another upgrade task at the next reboot cycle.

To resume all aforementioned aspects, download ACMELL SD28 Camera Firmware 20141204v02, carefully follow all steps described above, and find out for yourself what this new release implements.
