NETGEAR has made available a new firmware package compatible with its FVS318N, FVS336Gv2, and SRX5308 firewall devices, namely version 4.3.3-3, which resolves problems with the expired SSL VPN ActiveX certificate, and include various other changes.

Specifically speaking, the present update allows SRX5308 devices to make multiple calls from WAN to LAN using SIP, FVS336Gv2 units to establish a VPN tunnel with Iphone in IPv4/IPv6 mode, and FVS318N firewalls to follow their configured bandwidth limit.

In addition to that, FVS318N products benefit from several other changes that are detailed in its download page. However, make sure that you also read the Known Issues and Limitations for all devices, as this list is considerably higher than their respective changelog.

When it comes to installing this update, save and extract the appropriate archive, log into your device using its username and password, perform a reboot prior to the upgrade process, and go to Administration > Settings Backup and Firmware Upgrade > Router Upgrade.

Now, click the “Browse” button, navigate and select the newly-created .img file, hit “Upload,” and allow your firewall to do its job. Do not restart the device while the installation is in progress as this will lead to serious malfunctions.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one best describing your device model, carefully apply the present firmware, and enjoy the changes that this new release brings about.
