HP ENVY TouchSmart 17-j000 Essential System Updates Utility 1.2.1.1 for Windows 8 64-bit

This package installs Microsoft fixes and enhancements for the Microsoft Windows 8 Operating System, and provides other fixes and enhancements that are specific to the supported notebook models. These fixes and enhancements are required to improve the performance of supported notebooks running a supported operating system.

Fixes:

- Adds the fix from Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 2761968, Audio fixes.
- Adds the fix from Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 2769615, SD card fixes (fix is available only on 32-bit platforms).
- Adds the fix from Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 2778150, Intel camera does not work as expected on a computer that is running Windows 8 (fix is available only on 32-bit platforms).
- Adds the fix from Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 2756559, Windows 8 restarts to a blank screen after a standard shutdown or hibernation.
- Disables the screen auto rotation feature on non-tablet systems.- Provides support for additional notebook models.

If it has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix problems, add new functions, or expand existing ones. Even though other OSes might be compatible as well, we do not recommend applying this release on platforms other than the ones specified.

To install this package please do the following:
